This afternoon I did the first real vinegar wipe to neutralize the salt on metal on the exterior. If we keep up with this, the metal should stay a bit better. Not sure if we are going to stay another night or not........stay tuned.

A day in Hampton VA
We had a nice day 1 in Hampton VA. Have met a ton of very friendly people..... Earle who owns the othe r Passport 40 here in the marina, Lindon....the longshoreman who turned us on to the cool bike paths late this afternoon and of course all the marina folks. We decided that with the stuff we wanted to get done, we may as well stay another night. Active Captain rate here at the marina is 1.20 per foot per night and if you pay for 2 nights, you get a third free.....a very nice touch. Everything we need is here or a bike ride away. Bette spent the day with finishing up laundry and grocery shopping. Earle was kind enough to offer a ride up to the store. I spent the morning trouble shooting the Roque Wave wifi antennea that allows us to connect to wireless networks up to 8 miles away.....assuming you have the unlock key😉 .

I never really wanted to go cruising before, but between your blog and the Volvo ocean race coverage, I may change my mind.
